For a third consecutive year, Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has been awarded the Partnerships Bulletin/P3 Bulletin Government Agency of the Year award for its success in delivering major infrastructure projects using the province's Alternative Financing and Procurement delivery method.

The award is presented annually to a government agency that has provided exemplary project leadership in promoting innovative deal structures and timely, efficient delivery of infrastructure projects in Canada, the United States, or Latin America.

During the past year, IO brought five projects to substantial completion and reached financial close on nine further deals, while an additional eight projects reached the request for proposals stage. The judges commended Infrastructure Ontario on yet another “brilliant performance,” citing the agency not only as a leader in the American market, but as one whose expertise is frequently drawn upon by European organizations.

One of IO's Alternative Financing and Procurement projects was also recognized with an award during the evening. The Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness in Brampton, Ontario, received the silver award in the Best Operational Project category.

Partnerships Bulletin and P3 Bulletin are UK-based publications reporting on the global infrastructure market. The P3 Awards were presented in Brooklyn, New York, on October 9, 2018.
