Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has been awarded P3 Agency of the Year in North and South America for its success in delivering major infrastructure projects using Alternative Financing and Procurement.

The gold award is presented annually to government agencies that have provided project leadership toward innovative deal structures and timely, efficient delivery of projects in Canada, the United States, and Latin America. The awards are sponsored by P3 Bulletin, a UK-based publication reporting on the global infrastructure market.

Two of IO's Alternative Financing and Procurement projects were also recognized with awards during the evening. The Eglinton Crosstown LRT received the silver award in the Best Transit and Aviation Project category, while the Women's College Hospital redevelopment project received the silver award in the Best Operational Project category.
